The Lighthouse Arts Center is a light-filled, exciting place to enjoy the beauty of art from more than 100 artists, as well as a place to increase your own skills in our art classes. We have two floors of galleries, featuring primarily Maine artists in a full range of work from watercolors, oils and photographs to fabric arts, pottery, jewelry and woodcrafts. Classes include pottery (both hand-building and using the wheel), plus pastels, watercolor, fiber arts and more. Open Studio Space is available, as is kiln firing. Space is also available in the Education Center for artists to rent for their own classes, and for special meetings, events or art parties. The exhibition gallery on the second floor features special shows each month, with periodic juried and community shows. All this on the beautiful waterfront of Bucksport!
