The Friends of the Blue Hill Public Library’s second-Thursday-of-the-month film series will continue on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 PM with Network (1976), directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Faye Dunaway and William Holden.

In this satire, veteran news anchorman Howard Beale discovers that he’s about to be fired due to declining ratings. After threatening to shoot himself on live television, he agrees to apologize, but instead he launches into an angry televised rant, during which ratings skyrocket. The network then uses Beale to develop even more outrageous programming.

All films are shown free of charge on the library’s “pretty big” screen in the Howard Room. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
