Author Event: Bad Beaver Tales

3/26/2019
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill

Local author Carol Leonard will share from her newest book, Bad Beaver Tales: Love and Life in Downeast Maine, at the Blue Hill Public Library on Tuesday, March 26th at 2:00 PM.

“Bad Beaver Tales features “tales of extreme building, bad beaver trapping and learning the ways of the land.” In this memoir, Carol, a midwife, and her partner, “a wild, industrious French Canadian builder,” embark on building their dream homestead on 400 acres of wilderness in Downeast Maine. The results are poignant, educational and most often hilarious.

Carol Leonard is also a writer and a licensed beaver trapper. She wrote for the Bangor Daily News on her blog of the same name. She is the author of the best-selling memoir, Lady’s Hands, Lion’s Heart: A Midwife’s Saga.

This event is sponsored by the library. Books will be available for sale and signing. There is no charge, and everyone is welcome. For more information, call the library at 374-5515.
