Penobscot Bay Press and the Wilson Museum are pleased to announce the launch of Sandra Dinsmore’s new book, More by Eye than by Measure: The Maritime Life & Art of John Prior Gardner, on Sunday, November 17, (2 to 4 p.m.) at the Wilson Museum’s Hutchins Education Center.
John Prior Gardner, a beloved Castine resident, is a storyteller not only in the telling of a tale, but through the crafting of the incredible ship models he has brought to life over the years. Author Sandra Dinsmore is a journalist who has been writing about art, artists, and Maine’s lobster-fishing community for almost 30 years. She will read from her work and sign copies of the newly released book, available for purchase at the event. Refreshments will be served.
