It is time to celebrate spring and clean out the garden! Kids and their families are invited by the Blue Hill Public Library and Healthy Peninsula to help clean up the butterfly garden at the Healthy Peninsula office on Parker Point Road on Saturday, May 18 at 11 am. We will be learning to identify the plants, designing labels for them and sprucing up the beds. Snacks will be provided.
The butterfly garden was created as part of a series of five “Conservation Kids” projects by the library to engage youth volunteers to positively impact the environment and their community on the Blue Hill Peninsula. The projects, made possible by a grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation, are designed to show kids how they can make a difference in caring for, and preserving, the natural world around them. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
