Julianne Taylor, education coordinator for Explore Outdoors! – a collaboration between Blue Hill Heritage Trust, Downeast Audubon and Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust – will do an afterschool program, “Wiggly Worms,” at the Blue Hill Public Library on Tuesday, April 23rd at 3:30 PM. Kids will learn about the different kinds of worms and their importance to ecosystems. Participants will then put together their own worm habitat, “vermicondos,” to bring home and observe how worms eat and process food waste.
This program is co-sponsored by the library and Explore Outdoors! There is no charge and everyone is welcome. For more information call the library at 374-5515. Registration is required at bhpl.net or 374-5515.
