Blue Hill Public Library
5 Parker Point Rd, Blue Hill, ME, 04614

Alumni from Kneisel Hall will present a special program for children at the Blue Hill Public Library on Wednesday, September 25th at 4:30 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to explore texture and variation in folk-influenced classical music, and learn how composers use borrowed material to create music in their own voices. Kids can then create something new using borrowed material with collage in this multi-media workshop. This program will be presented by musicians Katherine Liccardo, Ravenna Lipchik, Matt Consul and Julia Biber. It is co-sponsored by the Blue Hill Library and Kneisel Hall.

These concerts are part of the semi-annual “Kneisel Hall Blue Hill-Together in Music” residency, a long-term outreach initiative dedicated to sparking a creative dialogue between Kneisel Hall musicians and members of the Blue Hill community. For more information contact the library at 374-5515.

The program is free and is intended for kids ages 7-12, but everyone is welcome. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
