Specialists from the Eastern Area Agency on Aging will hold a Medicare 101 class at the Blue Hill Public Library on Thursday, February 27th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. This presentation is specifically designed for those who will be newly eligible for Medicare: either people who are soon to be age 65, or those who are younger but disabled and who will be eligible for Medicare in the future. The presentation explains the coverage Medicare offers and other Medicare products such as Medicare D, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplemental insurances, and Medicare Savings Programs. Medicare fraud and how to avoid it will also be discussed.

This event is sponsored by the library and Eastern Area Agency on Aging. It is free and open to everyone, but space is limited so advance registration is required using the library’s online calendar at www.bhpl.net or by calling the library at 374-5515.

The Eastern Area Agency on Aging will also be hosting individual meeting sessions at the library following the class. To arrange for an individual session, contact them at 941-2865, 1-800-432-7812, or info@eaaa.org.
