Kids of all ages are invited to a native seed workshop at the library on Tuesday, September 17th at 3:30 pm. The workshop will explore native Maine plants and their seeds, and participants will dissect seed pods. The workshop will begin in the Howard Room at the library and cross the street to the Healthy Peninsula office where the pollinator garden is located. Participants will help diversify the pollinator garden by adding plant plugs and collecting seeds. The workshop will include observational drawing of plants with pens and colored pencils.
This event is free and everyone is welcome. Kids under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a caregiver at least 12 years of age. The program is co-sponsored by the library, Blue Hill Heritage Trust, the SEED Barn and Healthy Peninsula. For more information, call the library at 374-5515
